Hey, this is Case. I'm going to talk about my dad and Justin Schicks' trip to Kentucky Lake to see a college bass tournament. They had a great time, but the fishing wasn't amazing. Fish were slow, and it was cold in the morning. It did warm up as the day went on though. They were there from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Above, Justin is holding a nice 8 lb drum. They caught many bass with jigs, crank baits, and rattle traps. They were on my dad's pontoon boat that is a 18 ft. Bass Buggy. We usually tube and fish in in central Illinois. We have a 5" Lowrance Elite 5 fish finder and depth finder. The trip was very fun for them, and they had a great time in the 4 bedroom cabin with the ISU Bass Fishing Team. Justin's cousin is Bryce Wegman the president, captain of the team. If you are thinking of going fishing on a long weekend with friends or kids, Kentucky is a great lake with lots of fishing for any type of fisher. To the left are some pictures from the trip.
